About Me

Totally addicted to sea angling.... These days I find myself putting more hours in on my own boats, mainly targeting Bass on my local inshore reef marks.... Best Bass in 2011 was a 10lb 4oz taken on a sinking Jackson hard lure..... Best moments last season was taking a 6lb Bass on the fly rod, Witnessing a 14lb Bass being caught on a hard lure. seeing fellow club anglers improve on & enjoy their fishing...

To sum up last year.... The year started off really well on the Bass front with lots of 2-8 lb fish caught... As the season progressed the fishing I think got slightly more challenging, a notable year for large Bass...  :D

Hi Mark, Have a week of from the 11th, so im gona hit dungeness beach in hope for a stray cod!! I will let you know the outcome. Also i have been thinking about the bass fishing this year, if you stand at bognor/aldwick beach opposite the boat yard on a low spring tide you can see a long mass of rocks about a mile off shore! is this any good for bass? or general fishing just that i do see a few boats from time to time hovering over this perticuler spot. Cheers Andy

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the welcome, and of course i will let you know about my weekend bash. I have had plenty of whiteing along with a 11lb 2oz cod of pagham beach to which paul ( the owner of aldwick angling) said was a cracker for that beach. There is a picture hanging up in the shop of it with my wife holding it ( i did catch it not her i promise). Ive had bass up to a 1lb of pagham but my target is to get one over 6lb this year, so hope pagham/selsey will give me one. I am in the process of saving for a boat as i am a very keen boat angler to. My freind owns a rib and in the summer months we fish the mulberry wreck at pagham. Being that were not exsperienced with the sea we dont go out far only about a mile when the weather is carm, so would love to pick your brains about maybe some local offshore spots were maybe i will get my bass of 6lb plus or just a good patch were we can enjoy a good days fishing. I will look forward to hearing back from you many thanks Andy.
